God is Good

So, after my outpouring of all my sadness here last night, I went to my room and prayed and prayed until I fell asleep. And what do I wake to?

A message from Dasha's host family that she is doing well, and photos are on their way
A letter and drawing by D with the heading 'Mamuchka', sent to me by the director.
An email from the orphanage that all is well, boxes are arriving like mad and they miss me.
two giant boxes from Iraq on our front steps (a brother serving there)
My first official docs for my dossier arrived from my attorney - hurrah!
A good friend dropped by a massive bag of dolls for the orphanage - including two more American girl dolls and bags of accessories for them!

This all occurred before 10am, and now all I need is word that Anya is alive and well, and I'll be deliriously happy.

Thank you God, for putting my heart at ease!

Hoping and praying for news from Anya soon. . . and I'm so thrilled that the orphanage is staying in touch, getting their boxes and so on!

We are traveling visiting family and I have not had internet access, so have been thinking about and praying without knowing what's up (so if I don't post many comments, you know why! and I know its not like you don't have good comment love here on your blog, but I also know that every comment is like a hug, and I want you to keep getting mine! ; ). SO wonderful that you received such an outpouring of love on this morning--He is good indeed!

Where Your Money Went

For almost 10 years, you helped me raise money for my daughter's former orphanage. Sadly, I can no longer raise funds for the children from Orphanage #5, because it closed in June 2015. But we accomplished a lot over the years - and I thank you. Here is what you, my readers, did for the children from 2006-2015.

Your donations have funded:

1. All new furniture in the common rooms (2011)

2. 16 new beds for the girls' room (2008)

3. An updated girls' bathroom (2007)

4. On-going support for medical supplies and clothing (2006-11)

5. A small library (100 books in 2010)

6. Two washing machines (2012)

7. Four televisions and three DVD players. (2009 and 10)

8. 100 educational and/or inspiring children's videos.

9. Arts and craft supplies for 100 children.

10. A new printer for their office.

11. Christmas and Thanksgiving Feasts for all the children for 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012.

12. School supplies, educational toys and countless other incidentals from 2006 - 2015.
