‘What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men …… That is what love looks like.’ - St. Augustine

  1. Come on Keri, even this Texas has gone whale watching near your place! And what is the problem with the Alamo?! No, you're right, our history here is like "so 1800's" and when every other house near where you live has a plaque that reads"Built in 16 something, AND THERE'S STILL SOMEONE LIVING IN IT?! WOW! By the way, we have plenty of preying mantii if you want to cross that one off of your list. ps Finally figured out that kerimama is you. Duh, do I feel like a dope. jeri

  2. hahhaa! I know! I almost LIED on my own post and said I DID do the whale-watching thing..but my
    superior moral character won out..lol.

And to make matters worse, my family CREST is a whale and my ancestors were WHALERS. But it's like my friends in Stratford England who never go see Shakespeare plays. It's like, "it's ALWAYS there so I figure someday...."

Sorry about the Alamo dig. I was going to say the same thing about swimming in the salt lakes, but thought better. Dont want to alienate any of those Lakes region readers..lol.

  3. By the way, this Texan not Texas....durrrr, I'd blame it on a late night last night but, nah, that would be lying. I did however wake up and move from the couch to bed somewhere close to midnight. I understand about the Alamo...I went under duress the first time (I was in a stroller, no choice there) and the second time? We had a French exchange student. They do have a cool gift shop though. heehee
