‘What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of men …… That is what love looks like.’ - St. Augustine

Nastia Says I'm a Drug Addict

And this, she says, is my addiction:

She's right. Just about midnight each night, I go get my 'stash' and self-medicate. Nutella, I love you. I could not have survived this month without you. The apples just relieve some of the guilt associated with my nutella addiction. If you haven't had nutella spread on a granny smith apple, you have not lived, my friend.

PS: Anya waltzed by just now when I took the picture...hence the feet in the background. I'm wondering her toes are so red! And, yes, I am eating on the floor. We do not have a kitchen table...or any table for that matter. I blog on the floor, so it only makes sense that I eat there, too.

  1. That looks good! An apple a day, keeps the Dr. away.

  2. Everyone in my house loves Nutella ecxept me....I "like it OK" and Nastya, who - get this - hates chocolate. (No wonder she is so thin!) I can see how it might be pretty wonderful on blini, however, which is what Ilya thinks.

  6. Love Nutella...haven't had it in awhile. I might have to buy a stash and keep it hidden...lest I find an empty Nutella jar and a spoon hidden behind the TV someday and Jupiter with brown teeth!!

  7. I'm addicted to Nutella and fresh strawberries! I eat almost a pound every night. So yummy! Not sure what I'm going to do when Summer is over. Green apples need caramel.

  8. Keri, i tell everyone I know about you. You inspire me, you make me laugh, you make me cry. I am hungry for God and I see Him in you. I am adopting a beautiful 13 year old Sabina from Latvia. I hosted her this summer and it sounds as if I will be able to make my first trip to Latvia and bring her home with me by Christmas. Through Facebook I have met so many wonderful women in some stage of the same journey as me. You all inspire me. I am 61 years old, never married and no children. God is remaking me and my facebook adopting mom friends, especially you, are very influential in the new me being created. I pray for you and your girls daily. Through your blog, I am experiencing a part of life I elected to not think of in the past. There is much sadness there, but as in your story of the flower lady, there is also joy. Besides, you have made me crave Nutella!
